Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
Originally, it was said to had been a dead planetoid that was reconstructed by the Planeteers for the worst criminals in the universe. (Adventures of the Super Sons v1 #7)

- Takron-Galtos was created by Jim Shooter, Mort Weisinger, and Curt Swan where it made its first appearance in Adventure Comics v1 #359 (August, 1967).
Alternate Versions
- In Tales from the Dark Multiverse: The Death of Superman v1 #1 (2019), an alternate reality was shown to exist within the Dark Multiverse showed a universe where the Black Lantern Corps dominated the cosmos. As the undead scourge spread, Mister Miracle came to travel to the prison world where he created a vault as a safe place. Scott Free then took the money from the planetary bank which he used to hire the services of Lobo with the Czarnian tasked with retrieving Dove on Earth. This was because she was part of a plan for saving the universe from the Black Lanterns by tapping into the power of the Source.

- In Legion of Super-Heroes, Takron-Galtos made a number of appearances in the first season but was not named. It was used to detain Alexis Luthor and the Fatal Five. It was named in the episode "The Man from the Edge of Tomorrow" where Imperiex secretly freed the Fatal Five and the Legion of Super-Villains. Once freed, a group of Legionnaires responded only to be attacked by the supervillains that trapped them in the cells. The remaining Legionnaires attempted to free their comrades but were overpowered until the arrival of Superman X. With his aid, they defeated the villains and places them back into confinement on Takron-Galtos.
