Grimoire Heart is a guild that features in Fairy Tail.

History

Grimoire Heart (Japanese: 悪魔の心臓, グリモアハート, Hepburn: Gurimoa Hāto) was a dark guild created by the wizard Hades in the Earthlands with them becoming part of the Balum Alliance. Its goal was that of its founder where the dark guild intended to find and awaken the Black Wizard Zeref in order to user in the Ultimate Magic World.

For years, Hades proceeded to gather young boys and girls with strong Magic potential and spent years raising and training them for them to become the Seven Kin of Purgatory, some of the greatest Mages under his command. These Mages use a variety of different types of Magic that are as close as possible to the source of all Magic, taught to them by Hades himself: Lost Magic. Among those that were taken and forced into becoming dark mages included Ultear Milkovich.

On an airship, Ultear reports to Hades that they have located Zeref. Six of the Grimoire Heart Guild's Seven Kin of Purgatory gather and prepare to attack Tenrou Island. Two members of Grimoire Heart ambush Levy. But just as she is about to be killed, Gajeel saves her. The members reveal themselves to be Kawazu and Yomazu and the battle of the two pairs begins. Levy and Gajeel are easily overpowered by the Dark Mages, so Gajeel tells Levy to run and warn the others. Before she leaves, she helps Gajeel replenish his energy by using her Magic to form a word from iron. With pure determination and pride, Gajeel battles the two Dark Mages despite his severe injuries in order to defend his guild. Just as Gajeel defeats Kamazu and Yomazu, Levy brings back reinforcements; Juvia and Erza. Comprehending the severity of the battle, Erza declares that the exam is now on hold, and launches a signal flare to let everyone know about the enemy attack. Azuma later came to ambush Carla, Panther Lily, Wendy and Mest. This prompts Panther Lily to begin a battle against Azuma. Mest and Wendy also join in to take him down. However, Azuma proves to be too strong for them and easily takes each Mage down, without getting a scratch. On the Grimoire Heart Guild's Ship, the members notice a gigantic Makarov waiting for them and he attacks. Hades orders Carprico to take all the Grimoire Heart members to the island while he deals with Makarov himself. Makarov threatens to cast his Fairy Law, but to his surprise, Hades counters with Grimoire Law. With shock, Makarov recognizes Hades as the second master of Fairy Tail, Precht. Makarov, shocked by Hades' true identity, is caught off-guard and shot down to his original size. Due to his identity, Makarov does not attack him with his full power. However, Hades has other concerns and easily defeats Makarov with a Magic blast, puncturing his body

Overview

In appearance, Grimoire Heart was a dark guild that consisted of mages that utilised dark magic. Many of its most prominent Mages were shown to be incredibly powerful.

The goal of Grimoire Heart was that of its creator namely to find Zeref and awaken him by opening the seals around him. This they did with the hope that he would user in the Ultimate Magic World.

The elite warriors of the guild came to form the Seven Kin of Purgatory (煉獄の七眷属 Rengoku no Nana Kenzoku) that consisted of their strongest fighters. Each of its members were raised and personally trained by Hades himself where he taught them Lost Magic. He considered them to be unbeatable warriors though he was not surprised if they were defeated by an enemy.

Their base of operations was their mobile airship that made them an elusive guild to track as they were constantly in motion.

Members

• Hades (ハデス Hadesu) : an older male who served as the guild master of Grimoire Heart. Originally, he was Precht Gaebolg who was the second Guild Master of Fairy Tail until he left travelling the world to learn various Lost Magic. In that time, he became a worshipper of Zeref and sought the Ultimate Magic World leading to his creation of Grimoire Heart.
• Bluenote Stinger (ブルーノート・スティンガー, Burūnōto Sutingā) : a tall, muscular middle-aged man holding the position of Deputy Commander where his magic granted him control over gravity allowing him to manipulate it at his advantage in a number of ways. After Grimoire Heart was dissolved, he came to operate as an affiliate of Orochi's Fin where he served as a hired mage.
• Ultear Milkovich (ウルティア・ミルコビッチ Urutia Mirukobicchi) : a dark haired young woman abducted from her mother Ur and made to think she was abandoned. Becoming a dark mage, she came to learn to control time through her lost magic where she was trained by Hades to become the leader of the Seven Kin of Purgatory. She came to defect from the dark guild and became an independent mage with her co-founding Crime Sorcière.
