History
Romefeller Foundation was an organization that was said to had been founded in the Austrian capital of Vienna and had existed since 1862. Their membership consisted of aristocrats and royalty from across Europe that formed a close-knit society that secretly manipulated the world's affairs. In the After Colony (AC) era, they were responsible for inciting conflicts between nations as its members owned the munition factories and the supply routes between. Thus, they prospered by the wars fought amongst nations by supplying weapons to both sides. Eventually, the planet was united under the United Earth Sphere Alliance with the Romefeller Foundation supporting it and placing some of their members in its upper echelons. This effectively led to them being the rulers of the planet due to their influence over the government. This led to them pushing for a more aggressive military solution to pacifying the space-based Colonies in order for the Foundation to maintain control over both Earth and them. In this time, they formed a military wing known as the Organization of the Zodiac that were ultimately loyal to them and operated within the United Earth Sphere Alliance as an elite group of Mobile Suit pilots.
