Non was one of General Zod's two followers on Krypton. A gigantic, musclebound man, Non was described by Jor-El as a "mindless abberation, whose only means of expression are wanton violence and cruelty." Non assisted Zod in his attempt to overthrow the government. He was imprisoned within the Phantom Zone by Jor-El, alongside Zod and Ursa. Non's fate is left ambiguous at the end of Superman II. In Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, Superman destroys the Fortress of Solitude (thus making the entire movie non-canon with the following films), presumably killing Non, Zod, and Ursa within, provided that they survived their falls.
