• Real World: February 8. Robert Devereux, the Earl of Essex, leads a revolt against Queen Elizabeth I of England that is quickly crushed.

Undated Events

• Dungeons and Dragons (Dragonlance), Dungeons and Dragons (Ravenloft): c. 1601 (357 AC). The Blue Lady's War begins when the Dragon Highlord Kitiara allies with Lord Soth. The pair lead an army of dragons from Sanction, and lead an assault on northern Solamnia from a flying citadel. The war ends with the death of Kitiara, following a siege of Palanthus. Lord Soth retreats to Dargaard Keep and makes plans to resurrect her. In pursuit of his traitorous seneschal Caradoc, who claims to have Kitiara's spirit, Soth is drawn into the Mists of Ravenloft, sent to 720 BC. (Test of the Twins, Knight of the Black Rose, Ravenloft Campaign Setting (3rd Edition). Although this was originally used to synchronize 357 AC and 720 BC, the Planewalker's Handbook synchronized 383 AC with the 128th year of Factol Hashkar's Reign. In turn, Die Vecna Die! synchronized the 130th year with 755 BC in Ravenloft and 591 CY in Greyhawk. Factoring that in, it's more likely that Soth was sent seven years in the past here, rather than the greater god Vecna leaving a Demiplane of Dread- at that brief moment fully under his control- 13 years earlier than the actual, true present in Die Vecna Die! Possibly, the Mists took Soth from just the right moment during his history on Krynn- pursuing Caradoc after the Blue Lady's War- so that he would be in the right frame of mind and do what was needed in 720 BC.)
