Biography

Origin

Alexandra DeWitt

Last month, the paper sent her to take pictures of the aftermath of the Coast City disaster where she saw Green Lantern. (Green Lantern v3 #51)

She and Kyle was out on a date when they saw a green falling star in the sky. (Green Lantern v3 #48) The pair later came to break up a week ago when Alex grew tired of Kyle's irresponsible attitude. Rayner then came to her place revealing that he was given a Power Ring and gained superpowers. (Green Lantern v3 #51)

When Kyle returned home, he came to find that Major Force had strangled Alex to death and stuffed her remains in the refrigerator. A grief stricken Kyle was driven to attack Major Force. During the battle, he nearly lost the ring when its charge ran out, but Major Force revealed that the 'green rock' in his possession was a power lantern that recharges the ring. (Green Lantern v3 #54)

Kyle once tried to summon more Green Lanterns from different times and universes to help him defeat Oblivion. Alexandra showed up as a Green Lantern from a universe where it was Kyle who had been the one killed by Major Force. After she, Kyle and the other alternate-dimensional Green Lanterns defeated Oblivion, Kyle realized that she was only a manifestation of his psyche. (Green Lantern/Green Lantern v1 #1)

Jade, another of Kyle's deceased loves, and reanimated as an undead Black Lantern, created a black energy construct crafted in an image of Alex from her black ring to torment Kyle. (Green Lantern Corps v2 #40) Alex's remains become a Black Lantern later, trapping Kyle inside a black energy construct of a refrigerator before using her powers to take control of his body, transforming him into a facsimile of Major Force, and forcing him to relive the moments of her death. She tries to mentally break Kyle by saying that, since Force attacked her because of him, he essentially killed her himself. After what happened with Jade, Kyle does not fall prey to the same manipulation. With the help of the Indigo Tribesman Munk, he destroys her after saying goodbye. (Green Lantern Corps v2 #46)
