Biography

Alisa Bosconovitch (Japanese: アリサ・ボスコノビッチ Hepburn: Arisa Bosukonobicchi, Russian: Алиса Босконович) was an female android created by the scientist Dr. Bosconovich where she was stylised as his daughter. It was said that she was developed to serve as a bodyguard for Jin Kazama. She was activated following a botched raid on a Mishima Zaibatsu laboratory. She came to join Lars Alexandersson in his pursuit of his lost memories following the events at the lab.

While under Lars' care, Alisa had since begun working at his private military company Yggdrasil. In this role, she had been assigned the task of protecting VIPs, and on her first mission, she took fire from an armored helicopter.

The lab Alisa was being kept in is the target of a double raid by Yggdrasil and G Corporation, though on meeting each other, the forces wipe one another out. During the raid, an explosion rocks the laboratory, and Lars Alexandersson, the leader of the Yggdrasil rebel army suffers a blow to the head that leaves him amnesiac. He stumbles into a pod that is set off, and awakens Alisa. They ask who the other is, and, whilst Alisa introduces herself, Lars has no memory of who he is. One of G Corporation's Jack-6 robots attacks them and Alisa retaliates by using her chainsaws to cut up the Jack, showing her superhuman abilities and strength. The Jack is not fully defeated however, and gets up to attack her, Lars quickly reacts to pin the robot, and defeats it, and seems surprised that he too has military training. Lars gives Alisa his hand to help her get up and the two flee. The two then go on a journey that leads them to many different places and encounters. Initially, their search is to help Lars rediscover his identity. They are approached by someone who claims to be Lars's second-in-command, Tougou. Though Tougou explains who Lars is to him, Lars says he cannot accept the responsibility to lead the rebel army until he remembers who he is. He and Tougou stay in radio communication as Lars continues to seek for answers.

When Alisa and Lars come to see Wang Jinrei, he warns Lars of Alisa possibly being dangerous, and encourages him to seek out Heihachi Mishima. Meeting Heihachi triggers Lars's memories, and he remembers that Heihachi is his birth father. All the rest of his memories also return. Heihachi suggests they join forces, but Lars declines and points a gun at his father. Alisa tries to intercede to stop him, but Lars shoots Heihachi anyway. Heihachi survives by catching the bullet between his teeth. Lars declares that Heihachi isn't worth his time and leaves. Following this, Lars's main motivation is to search for Jin Kazama, as he has recalled that he was a member of Tekken Force, but led a coup when he could not longer abide by Jin's warmongering. His rebel force are ex-Tekken Force members seeking to bring down the Mishima Zaibatsu. Lars and Alisa meet Lee Chaolan, adopted son of Heihachi and thus foster brother of Lars. Lee provides Lars with information on Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, and offers them his help, but Lars says that he doesn't want to trouble him. Lee says that if he changes his mind, he will be glad to help. He then is able to enlist Lars to help him rescue a friend of his who has been spying for him on G Corporation but has had their cover compromised.

Though Lee managed to fully repair her and remove the inhibitor program, Alisa suffers a memory loss and attacks him in self defense upon rebooting. Upon losing, Alisa remembers who Lee is, though questions why she is at Violet systems. Lee then uses his machinery to restore Alisa's memory, which then gives her the desire to find Lars. Before Lee can take her to Lars though, Violet Systems is attacked by the Tekken Force. Lee and Alisa fight them off and flee to another of Lee's facilities, where Lars had been waiting. Alisa happily jumps on Lars in excitement, though the Tekken Force attack again, searching for Jin's body. Alisa assists Lars and Lee in fighting off the Tekken force but Alisa is stopped by Nina Williams who stalls Alisa long enough for a Tekken Force helicopter to capture Jin. However, it turns out that Alisa takes part of Lee's plan to distract Nina and Tekken Force and trap them inside the now evacuated Yggdrasil base, thought Nina survive the explosion and decide to let Jin go with Yggdrasil, where will be fully recovered. Following Heihachi’s true death at the hands of Kazuya, who now publicly reveal himself as a devil like Jin, Alisa analyzes the worst outcome, as G Corporation begin their world war mongering regime.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Alisa Bosconovitch was a graceful female android made in the form of a human teenage girl where she had green eyes, medium-length pink hair that was styled in a short curled bob. It was said her design itself was modelled after Bosconovitch's own lost daughter.

It was shown that she was a very kind-hearted individual who speaks in a polite manner and was sensitive to others' feelings. This made her quite unlike other robots to the point that she seemed human.

She kept a journal which she constantly updates with entries regarding the events of her journey with Lars, as well as her own personal opinion about them.

Powers and abilities

Alisa Bosconovitch was an android who on the surface appeared to be an ordinary human being with her mechanical nature hidden underneath her skin. She was designed to answer directly to Jin and her autonomy could be overridden by a command from him though this trait was lost after she was reprogrammed.

Due to her being entirely bionic, many of her attacks were amplified with collapsible jet pack like wings from her back and rockets from her feet she can also extend chainsaws from her lower arms. Her body parts were detachable with them instantly growing back in a kind of nanoparticle-assisted regeneration. All of her body parts appeared to be non-critical, some of her attacking moves involves removing her own head to use as a weapon or even a makeshift explosive device with no ill effects, and arms can be torn off by the opponent or even used as improvised missiles. Alisa uses attacks such as rockets, an explosive head and attacks from her chainsaw appendages.

She was noted for her extremely high fighting capabilities. Alisa was shown to be capable of performing attacks with high mobility where she used arm-mounted missiles along with thrusters.

Her fighting style was described as being unique with it also being referred to as High Mobility Combat. During a fight, she was able to switch into different stances depending on the situation. One was the Destroy Form (デストロイフォーム Desutoroi Fōmu) where she came to sprout chainsaws from each arm.

Notes

  • Alisa Bosconovitch featured in the setting of the Tekken universe.
  • In The Art of Tekken Hybrid (2011), Tekken project director and chief producer Katsuhiro Harada said, "Alisa's quite popular overseas as well. Personally, I didn't think we would get much of a following. We usually do research for new characters, but Alisa was something we created based on internal staff feedback. We really wanted a character with chainsaws on her arms." Scriptwriter Dai Satō then asked, "Influenced by Ash by any chance?" to which Harada replied, "Exactly. (laugh) I'm a huge fan of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead. I just didn't think Alisa would catch on, considering her vast differences from the other characters."
