Dr. Andrew Ingersoll was the head of the Atlantic Institute. It was Ingersoll who funded the operation that gave King Kong an artificial heart, purchasing Lady Kong from Hank Mitchell in order for Amy Franklin to be able to give Kong a transfusion during the operation.
