History

The Apocalypse Twins were the names given to Eimin and Uriel that were the twin children of Archangel and Ichisumi who held the position of Famine among the Horsemen of Apocalypse. They were born in the care of Clan Akkaba at Akkaba City in the North Pole after their fathers demise. The new born children were then kept in the nursery to be raised as heirs to Lord Archangel and as caretakers of the Celestials but during that moment they were abducted by Kang the Conqueror as part of his own machinations. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #5) He had encountered them in numerous timelines where he came to raise them in the year 4145 to be his part of his own machinations for the timeline. Kang would claim that he was helping the twins in their role as the genetic caretakers of Mutants and that he would help them achieve their great destiny. As part of their training, Kang showed them the intricacies of time travel and manipulating history. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #8AU)

This saw them emerging in the present where they appeared at Starcore Station when Genocide had summoned the Celestial Gardener in order to claim a Death Seed from the cosmic entity. With his enchanted axe, Uriel slayed the Celestial after which the Twins reclaimed their mother whilst they eliminated the remaining Final Horsemen and dealt with Genocide. Afterwards, they utilised Ship which they warped to the location of S.W.O.R.D.'s The Peak space station and rammed it thus dealing heavy damage to the structure causing debris to fall to the Earth's surface. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #7) Arriving in the present, they looked to avert their future and sought to gather followers to their cause leading them to the Akkaba Metropolis. However, they were disappointed to learn that the Mutant followers there had been stripped of their power by the Decimation. Thus, the Apocalypse Twins decided to show them a mercy by killing them and detonating the underground city leaving nothing behind. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #8)

Overview

In appearance, the Apocalypse Twins were a pair of winged humanoid Mutant siblings consisting of a brother named Uriel and a sister named Eimin. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #8)

The pair looked to ensure the domination of the Mutant race and avert the future that brought about the rise of the Red Onslaught. This timeline had seen their adoptive father Kang eliminate any who claimed the mantle of Apocalypse thus relegating Mutants to becoming slaves. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #8) It was said that it was their destiny to be the genetic caretakers of Mutants where they claimed that they would shatter the souls of whoever oppressed their people. They came to believe that it took strength to protect their people and ideology where they were capable of killing other Mutants in order to ensure their goals. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #8AU)

Though raised by Kang, they acknowledged that he was a bad person who actually made the siblings hurt one another. Initially, they believed that this was necessary as he taught them to protect Mutants. (Uncanny Avengers v1 #8AU)
