Aristotle Rodor

DC

Around 10 years ago, he worked with his research assistant Arby Twain in co-creating Pseudoderm that was an artificial skin that could bon with flesh after exposure to a special gas. The intention was to use it medically o treat wounds with Rodor proud of the fact that it could save lives with the added bonus of him getting rich in the process. However, during trials, they came to learnt that the material was toxic to some patients with it resulting in blood poisoning. As a result, Rodor abandoned research into Pseudoderm as it could lead to the death of people. Many yeas later, he came to learn of a similar artificial skin dressing being sold on the global market to third world countries. Aristotle came to suspect that his old colleague had continued the research and was looking to sell the Pseudoderm despite the risks. Thus, Rodor came upon his old student Vic Sage who was now a crusading reporter and asked for his help in finding proof of his suspicions. Sage decided to break into Twain’s residence and collect evidence with Aristotle reluctantly agreeing to aid him. To protect Vic’s identity, Pseudoderm was used to create a featureless mask allowing him to hide his true face and Rodor gave him clothing reminiscent of the old crimefighter called the Spirit though Sage preferred to call himself the Question. Whilst investigating Twain, the Question discovered him attempting to sell the Pseudoderm to Central American government agents with all the parties being aware of the faulty as well as dangerous nature of the substance. The Question then beat up the parties present whereupon he returned in his civilian guise as Vic Sage to cover their arrest with it being reported in the news. In the aftermath, Rodor and Sage agreed to keep working with one another for the greater good. (Question Annual v1 #2)

Overview

Personality and attributes

Powers and abilities

He was the developer of Pseudoderm that was an artificial skin he had made for medical use as a bandage with the intention of saving lives. Once placed on a wound, a gas needed to be released so that it could bond to the real skin thus creating the perfect dressing. However, the binding agent could be toxic in certain conditions thus leading to effects such as blood poisoning. The bonding gas was also toxic to open wounds that were already infected.
