Baron Karza was an extraterrestrial inhabitant of the planet Homeworld located within the Microverse.
Over 1,000 years ago, Chief Scientist Karza trained the young royal, Arcturus Rann, to fly using glider wings. However, in one class, he cut Arcturus' wings, forcing the youth to grab onto Karza in order to stop falling and they landed safely, if somewhat unceremoniously. Although not actually named, it was quite evident that Karza later used the Master Assassins to climb the tower where Arcturus' quarters were, but they were noisy and the youth was alerted before they could reach him. Arcturus engaged them in combat using his wings, but the assassins all died before they could reveal their master's name. Concerned by the apparent conspiracy against the royal house, Arcturus' father, Lord Dallan Rann, then commanded Karza to train his son to be the first Micronaut. Arcturus was Karza's only pupil during this time. Arcturus later left on his 1,000-year journey into the Microverse and discover new worlds. (Micronauts v1 #38)
An assassination attempt came to uncover Karza's murderous plot against the ruling royal family of Homeworld and he fled to the Syanite Desert on Sandzone. Near death, he was rescued by a group of sun-cultists and recovered in their monastery in the ancient underground city of Aegypta. Deciphering the cultists' secret and aged scrolls, Karza gained access to a science that was said to be older that the Microverse. He used this science to craft his black suit of armor and transferred his mind into it. Karza then destroyed the cultists' temple and transformed them into the first of his Dog Soldiers. He returned to the First Zone to seek vengeance upon Homeworld and secure domination of the Microverse. However, he also anticipated defeat at some point and made plans for a comeback. Baron Karza established and controlled the Body Banks, selling prolonged life to those who could pay, while also amassing his own private army of Dog Soldier drones. It was first shown here that once Arcturus had departed, Karza captured and slew Dallan and Sepsis Rann in the Body Banks before taking over as Regent. (Micronauts v1 #6) Karza's malevolence caused a ripple of concern in the Enigma Force, leading it to seek out a champion to resist the evil tyrant. It found Artcurus Rann in suspended animation as he explored the Microverse. His thoughts generated the Time Travelers, who began the seeds of resistance against Karza. (Micronauts Special Edition v1 #4) Karza's subjugation of various races in the Microverse revealed to him new technologies and powers, which he then used to further his conquest of the Microverse. Months ago, the Baron joined forces with Thanos where the pair sought to destroy all subatomic realities leading to the Microns alongside others opposing them. This event led to a massive release of energy that resulted in the merger of all the micro-realms into a single Microverse. (Captain Marvel v4 #6)

Hraal Karza was a male inhabitant of the desert world of Aegis-6 where he grew up amongst the mercenary Sandmen where he rose through the ranks to become one of the best of the warrior caste of his world.
