Battle Pit

The battle pit was a large pit in Darkhaven where members of that warren routinely battled one another in single combat. It provided an ideal way for younge Owsla officers to advance in the Darkhaven Owsla ranks, as Darkhaven law stated that a rabbit would take over the position of a higher-ranking officer if they defeated him. It was also a source of sick amusement to the Darkhaven rabbits, as they would enjoy watching captured enemies fight for their lives against their Owsla's finest. Until Campion defeated Granite, no outsider had ever won in the battle pit.
