Biography
Benjamin Daimio
In June 10 2001, he headed a platoon on an extraction mission in Bolivia to save nuns that had apparently captured by a fundamentalist group called the True Path. This conflicted with what was known of the group that were a peaceful political group known for building wells. Deep in the jungle, they came to find the true culprits responsible which were a native jaguar cult that were believed to had been a local folktale. It was said that they stalked their victims for sacrifice. The platoon came to find the dead body of a nun with one of them attacked by the cultists leading to Daimio's troops opening fire. Shorty afterwards, a shapeless entity arrived where it slaughtered the entire platoon except for Daimio. The body of the nun then attacked him leading to him being bitten on the face leaving him severely scarred on the left side of his face. He then collapsed and died from his injuries where he received horrific visions of a giant jaguar-like spirit who told Ben that his new life was to begin. (B.P.R.D.: The Universal Machine v1 #2)

- Ben Daimio was created by Mike Mignola, John Arcudi, and Guy Davis where he made his first appearance in B.P.R.D.: The Dead v1 #1 (December, 2004).
