Secret Wars
Secret Wars II
The Beyonder took human form and traveled to Earth, landing near Denver, Colorado. Taking on an amalgamated form of all the superhumans from Battleworld, he confronted the Molecule Man and his girlfriend Volcana. Professor X realized the Beyonder was on Earth, and sent a telepathic distress signal to Captain America before passing out from the strain. In Owen's apartment, the Beyonder stated his desires to understand and experience. Volcana suggested he go to Los Angeles to do so, and he teleported there. Elsewhere, the X-Men and their new leader Magneto made plans to find the Beyonder, who had arrived in Los Angeles, and was intrigued by the telephone conversation of Stewart Cadwell. Stewart was awed by the Beyonder's powers and wished to have some for his own, and the Beyonder complied, transforming him into Thundersword. As Thundersword battled the X-Men, the New Mutants, Captain America and Iron Man, Rachel Summers of the X-Men sensed the Beyonder's hidden presence. He was puzzled by the dual nature of Magik and when he touched her, he drew forth her Darkchilde side. Magik/Darkchilde teleported herself and the New Mutants away, and Wolverine attacked the Beyonder, slashing the new form that was a duplicate of Molecule Man's which he had taken. Upset, the Beyonder teleported the X-Men away as well. Captain America and Iron Man defeated Thundersword, but when Cap tried to talk to the Beyonder, the being turned invisible. Wanting to learn and experience, he began to follow an unwitting Cap. (Secret Wars II v1 #1) Still using a replica of Molecule Man's body, the Beyonder studied the New Mutants. While observing some of them at the Gladiator's Arena, he noticed Dazzler Alison Blaire and something he could not understand stirred inside of him. When he later made his presence known to the New Mutants, Magik instinctively tried to attack him, but Rachel Summers held her back, wanting to communicate with him instead. The Beyonder reached into her mind to understand her, but the experience began to affect her and Cannonball of the New Mutants whisked her away from him whereupon he then teleported away. (New Mutants v1 #30)
The Beyonder whilst invisible came to follow Captain America to the Avengers' West Coast compound. It was then he witnessed Rogers battle and defeat Armadillo. Impressed and inspired by Captain America, the Beyonder created a new physical form for himself that was an exact duplicate of Steve Rogers, down to the cellular level. (Captain America v1 #308) The Beyonder returned to New York City, where Rachel Summers witnessed him walk through the wall of the business. The Beyonder questioned the man behind the counter about the purpose of food, and Rachel confronted him, realizing who he was. The other X-Men never saw him, and he teleported away when Kitty Pryde got Rachel's attention. He secretly followed Rachel, intrigued by the amount of power she held, seeing her as similar to himself. At Xavier's School, Rachel again sensed the Beyonder's presence, but when she tried to mindlink to Xavier and Magneto, it tripped a device left behind by mutant-haters and caused her power to go haywire. When a berzerk Rachel sought out the would-be killers, Magneto stopped her from killing them. The Beyonder was puzzled by the way both had so much power, but chose to use it in lesser ways. He decided that to learn how to experience this conundrum was to become human. (Uncanny X-Men v1 #196)

It was said that he possessed power millions of times greater than the entire multiverse combined. (Secret Wars II v1 #9)
On another occasion, after trying to be a superhero by fighting a superpowered biker gang, the Beyonder stated that he limits his powers to keep them more in line with the world around him. (Dazzler v1 #40)
Using his ability to manipulate reality, he can, in effect, regenerate damage done to his body by simply willing it repaired. (Thing v1 #30)
He was overwhelmed when Rachel Summers returned the enormous powers that he had bestowed upon her along with the thoughts of the past and present beings in the universe, to the point that he collapsed on the ground. (Uncanny X-Men v1 #203)
The Beyonder proved capable of destroying, and recreating, the abstract entity known as Death across the multiverse, although it extremely exerted and weakened him to do so. However, even in this state, he was capable of easily sending a horde of demons back to hell with a wave of his hand. (Secret Wars II v1 #6)

- In Spider-Man: The Animated Series, the character appeared in the episode "Secret Wars" where he was voiced by actor Earl Boen. He appeared as a male humanoid with black hair, a beard and moustache along with yellow eyes. In another reality, a Peter Parker was driven mad with the thought of him being a clone and bonded with a Symbiote to become Spider-Carnage who intended to destroy reality in every existence. Seeing this threat, the Beyonder along with Madame Web sought out a champion to stop him. To achieve that end, the Beyonder abducted Spider-Man and involved him in his Secret Wars on a special world as a contest between good versus evil. During this contest, Doctor Doom used a device to drain the Beyonder of his cosmic powers turning him into a god-like being but he could not control this stolen ability with him being beaten by the heroes along with Spider-Man. With the conflict over, he returned the various heroes and villains back to their world with no memory of the Secret Wars with Spider-Man the only exception with him being transported to the Earth of Spider-Carnage where he was accompanied with alternate reality duplicates of himself to stop the insane supervillain from accomplishing his goal.

He replied that he was 'From Beyond' with Ms. Marvel referring to him as the Beyonder and him liking the name. It was noted that he made use of highly advanced technology to achieve his feats.

When he was sent to Earth, the Beyonder sought the smartest person on the planet, Lunella Lafayette, to help him understand humanity. After observing Lunella from behind the scenes, he reveals himself to her, Devil Dinosaur, and Casey Calderon but she interrupts him before he could explain his job. While venting about Eduardo, Lunella accidentally convinces the Beyonder to erase humanity. Lunella protests and the Beyonder promises to spare them if she wins an upcoming science fair with Eduardo, her "useless" partner. At the fair, the Beyonder turns Lunella's project into pickles for doing it without Eduardo, forcing her and Eduardo come up with a last-minute project together. It fails and the Beyonder makes Lunella believe he has erased humanity; however, he then reveals it was an illusion he was doing to mess with her. He explains that watching Lunella and Eduardo both contribute to create something satisfied him. The Beyonder then leaves, but affirms that he is going to continue watching humanity.
