The Black Order is an organization that featured in the game Legendary.
History
The Black Order was an ancient secret society which was actually an offshoot of the Council of 98. The group split from their parent organization in the distant past over a disagreement on how to use the power of Pandora's Box. The members of the new Black Order believed that the possession of the artifact meant that they were gifted with the divine right to use it as they saw fit. Thus, a schism was formed between the two groups which eventually grew into a full scale war. As it expanded, the Black Order expanded its philosophy which now included the exploitation of all advanced knowledge and believed in the doctrine of "might makes right". By the modern age, it took the form of a secret paramilitary organization which possessed cells scattered across the globe.
