Blackberry

Blackberry was one of the Sandleford bucks who accompanied Hazel and Fiver on their journey to Watership Down. It was his idea to use a floating piece of wood to get Fiver and Pipkin across a river when they were too tired to swim, an idea that was replicated with an abandoned rowboat during the flight from General Woundwort and the Efrafans. He also later participated in leading the dog into the midst of the Efrafan Owsla during the siege of Watership Down.

Blackberry is a doe who accompanied Hazel and Fiver away from Sandleford following Fiver's visions of impending destruction. She had a much larger role than her male counterpart in the novel and movie, and eventually developed a relationship with Captain Campion following his betrayel of Woundwort, and she helped him get Silverweed out of Darkhaven.
