Biography

Blaquesmith was a male Mutant who was native to an alternate reality designated as Earth-4935 that was set in a possible future set in the late 37th century. Upon his birth, he had a misshaped form and greyish skin which the gene-techs claimed were the result of a genetic defect with him lacking the X-Factor mutation though in reality this was a lie. (X-Men: Phoenix v1 #1) After seeing these scans, his birth mother traded him to the scavengers as she felt that a non-Mutant child was of no value to society. The scavengers normally would not have accepted him but their mechanic Voltayre had lost his apprentice in a fire and needed a new errand boy to serve him. Blaquesmith was mistreated by them but they gave him adequate shelter and food. During this time, he came to be quite skilled in mechanics and technology whilst working at the Scavenger Colony. (X-Men: Phoenix v1 #2) He grew up where he came to serve as part of the scavengers that lived on the Earth's surface in an era where Apocalypse ruled the lands that followed his rule of the strong. (X-Men: Phoenix v1 #1)
