Bluetspur

Bluetspur is a blasted island of terror in Ravenloft which appears bleak and desolate on the surface, but is actually inhabited by the horrible illithids (mind flayers) and their God-Brain in the realm's vast subterrene depths.

Bluetspur was once a shunned region of Ravenloft's Core, until the Grand Conjunction ripped it loose and set it adrift in the mists as an island. The alien intelligences of Bluetspur are yet known to reach out to other parts of Ravenloft, driving people mad or worse.
