He was shown as Doom's servant and assistant who first appeared in the episode "The Doctor Prescribes Doom" where he aided his master in the creation of android duplicates of members of the United Nations. In "Canon of Doom", his backstory was revealed as being a simple Latverian villager who lived during the reign of the tyrannical Baron of Latveria that persecuted the gypsy population. The Baron's reign would kill the young Victor Von Doom's mother forcing the child to flee with his father into the mountains where they were pursued but managed to evade capture. On the mountain, they were left alone as snow descended until they were found by Boris and his fellow villagers. Though Victor was saved, his father died from exposure to the elements and the boy would vow vengeance against the world for the death of his family as well as how he was treated. After that point, Boris would be ever loyal to Victor Von Doom when he became Doctor Doom the ruler of Latervia. By the modern day, he stayed at Doom's side but lamented how his fellow countrymen were cruelly treated and tried to convince Doom to show lenience but his master was steadfast in his heavy handed ways. Doctor Doom would go to America to engage in his newest plan to induce earthquakes by the creation of a new fault line with Boris aiding him in this endeavor whilst his master was abroad. At the time, Boris decided to free the captive Johan who was a rebel against Doctor Doom's reign though despite helping his revolution against his master - he still remained loyal to Doctor Doom as he considered him also a freedom fighter that freed Latveria from the reign of the Baron.
