Biography
The Bride of Nine Spiders was a female inhabitant of the one the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven where she rose to become her city's Immortal Weapon. (Immortal Iron Fist v1 #8)
Years ago, the current Bride of Nine Spiders came to learn that a 'Singing Spider' from her predecessor had remained trapped within the mortal world. This one was used by a man named Desmond Guille in an attempt to summon and imprison the Bride where he succeeded in keeping her trapped within his mansion. However, a group of thieves inadvertently freed her allowing her to exact her revenge against her captors. As a show of mercy, she allowed the surviving thieves to escape but kept the Singing Spider with herself to be reunited with its kin. (Immortal Weapons v1 #2)
During the celestial alignment of cities, her home sent her to participate in the tournament to decide which of the Capital Cities would next manifest on Earth. (Immortal Iron Fist v1 #8) Her opponent in the match was against Dog Brother #1 where she won against him. The Thunderer Lei Kung praised her for her skill though the Bride initially thought he was mocking her until the Prince of Orphans informed her that he was sincere and that he too was also similarly impressed with her match. (Immortal Iron Fist v1 #10)
Afterwards, the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven came under attack from forces from the Hidden City. The Eighth City sought dominance by targeting the dragons that powered the hearts of the other cities. This saw a simultaneous attack on the cities and their champions with Bride of Nine Spiders having to defend her home. She managed to defeat them just in time as Iron Fist had used a machine that brought all the Seven Cities to Earth. The Bride of Nine Spiders then joined the other surviving Immortal Weapons as they journeyed to the Hidden City where they fought against Midnight Sun and his undead forces whilst his master looked to escape from their prison. In appearance, the Bride of Nine Spiders resembled a delicate porcelain black-haired woman. (Immortal Iron Fist v1 #10)
When amused, she tended to love with the words 'je je je' being said by her. (Immortal Iron Fist v1 #10)
Powers and abilities
Her body was infested with spiders which she used in battle such as when she unleashed her Black Milk of Hell technique where she let loose a swarm of them from her chest. (Immortal Iron Fist v1 #10)

- The Bride of Nine Spiders was created by Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, and David Aja where she made her first appearance in Immortal Iron Fist v1 #8 (October, 2007).
In other media
Television
- In Iron Fist, the Bride of Nine Spiders made her first appearance as a minor antagonist in the live-action Netflix television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where she was portrayed by actor Jane Kim. This version had a different backstory as she was an arachnologist worked in New York with her being an agent of the Hand. She was called upon by Madame Gao to take part in the grand duel against Danny Rand.
