Biography
Bryan Fury (Japanese: ブライアン・フューリー Hepburn: Buraian Fyūrī) was a male human born in the modern age where by adulthood he served as a soldier before becoming a police officer in the International Police Organization. In this time, he was noted for being a skilled detective though had a tendency of following dark rumours where it was said that he had connections to drug dealers. At some point, he was in Hong Kong when a shoot-out erupted and he was killed in the resultant gunfire. The deceased Fury's corpse was taken to the laboratory of Doctor Abel who was an 88-year old scientist who was famous within the underground. Abel had desired a body to complete his master project where he intended to build a cyborg army that could match the mechanical robots built by his rival Dr. Bosconovitch. Thus, he reanimated Bryan Fury as a cyborg with him being dispatched on a mission to collect further data. He had connections with drug dealers with this being discovered by Lei Wulong. Fury then snuck into the King of Iron Fist Tournament where Yoshimitsu came to his attention as he learnt of the man's ties with Bosconovitch.
Around 2 years ago, the Mishima Zaibatsu came to recruit Dr. Abel as their top scientific advisor leading to him abandoning Bryan without a second thought as he no longer had any interest in the now obsolete cyborg. In the years after, Fury came to the conclusion that he was doing and that the only person capable of saving his life was his creator. This led to Bryan coming to despise the Mishima Zaibatsu for taking Dr. Abel away and also hating his creator as well for abandoning him.
Dr Abel no longer cared about what became of his obsolete cyborg creation. Bryan despised both Dr Abel for abandoning him, and Heihachi Mishima for taking Dr Abel away from him. He entered the fourth Iron Fist Tournament in order to take control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and get Dr Abel to modify his body and prolong his life.
Bryan's plans did not go as hoped and he ended up attempting to raid the Mishima Zaibatsu by force. He was discovered injured in the Mishima Zaibatsu's vault by Yoshimitsu, who helped him escape. Bryan awoke in Dr Bosconovitch's lab, where the doctor informed him he could upgrade his body. Bryan entrusted himself to the doctor, but, on awaking, realized his body was the same as before. Doctor Bosconovitch explained he needed more time to fully understand Bryan's body, but that in the mean time he was able to fit him with a perpetual power generator as an emergency measure, that would extend his life. Bryan lashed out and attacked the doctor and killed the Manji Clan members standing guard in the lab.
Yoshimitsu had sworn vengeance on Bryan for attacking his rescuers, and prevented Bryan from getting far in his attempts to test the power of his generator in the fifth tournament. Enraged, Bryan began joining different battlefields, something that was not in short supply now that Jin Kazama had succeeded as head of the Zaibatsu, and was now waging global warfare. At this time, Bryan ended up holed up in an abandoned mansion, an ex-G Corporation testing facility, with a host of escaped G-Corp human experiments. He claims he was using the position in order to bait in strong opponents to test himself against. Eventually boring of this, when Jin announced the 6th tournament, Bryan joined it, seeking a fight that would sate his appetite. Bryan entered The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to test his newly-acquired perpetual generator. However, time after time, Yoshimitsu got in the way of Bryan's plans. In obtaining the perpetual generator, Bryan gained the potential for ultimate power but being unable to test it resulted in frustration. Bryan could not contain his desire for destruction, so he traveled to the world's battlefields, wreaking havoc indiscriminately. He eventually grew tired of the comparatively weak foes he encountered, and craved a real challenge. Finally, The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 was announced. Hungry for more capable prey, Bryan headed for the tournament to prove his mettle. The cancellation on the 6th tournament sent Bryan back into warzones, where he went on indiscriminate rampages. He ended up in a conflict zone in the USA, where a man named Bob confronted him in an effort to stop his trail of destruction. Bryan continued waging acts of war around the globe, and quickly became the target of international police organizations. Something suddenly changed in Bryan when he confronted the elite counter terrorist unit of the international police agency he formerly belonged to in an urban conflict. Either a result of overuse in countless conflicts, or from a lingering memory of his mortal body, his perpetual generator overheated during battle. A surge in feelings of power and pleasure burned their imprint into his brain, turning it crimson red. When he awoke, he was alone in the devastated aftermath he had likely caused.
