Biography

Castiel was a male Angel of the Lord who served the forces of Heaven.

Overview

Personality and attributes

As stated by him, his true form and voice could be overwhelming to humans though certain special people were able to tolerate it. Upon becoming a Seraph, it was said that his true form was approximately the size of the Chrysler Building.

Powers and abilities

Being an angel, he possessed the Grace that was a celestial energy integral to their kind and allowed them to use Enochian magic.

As a spiritual being, Castiel needed to use and possess a human vessel to physically interact whilst operating on Earth. As an angel, he required the permission of the mortal serving as his vessel.

After being killed by Lucifer, he was resurrected by God who made him a Seraph that was a higher species of angel. This endowed him new and stronger powers that made him more powerful than his prior incarnation.

To defeat Raphael, he made a deal with Crowley who loaned him 50,000 souls from people in Purgatory. This greatly increased his power and allowed Castiel to launch a first strike against the archangel.
