The Chateau Richelieu was Augustus Steranko's imposing mountaintop fortress, perched on a seaside cliff in Orenbourg. It was destroyed when Zigesfeld fell into a vat of molten gold in the chateau's foundry, setting off a chain reaction of explosions that blew it up from the inside out.
