Biography
Cyrus "The Colossus" Rhodes, known informally as simply Colossus Rhodes, was the first test subject of Prometheus Black in his experiments to increase human performance. Cyrus was a very small, weak old man, and Black implanted steroid injectors into his shoulderblades. Using these, Cyrus could increase his height and muscle mass and become "The Colossus." He was first defeated when the Autobot Prowl sliced off the injectors, returning him to his former scrawny form.
Following Black's lab accident and his transformation into Meltdown, Cyrus' employer repaired the injectors and made them more durable. The Colossus kept the Autobots busy whilst Meltdown attempted to kill Professor Sumdac, but he was defeated when Optimus Prime discovered that the sound of a ringing bell disrupted the injectors, and the Colossus once more reverted into a tiny old man.
Later, Rhodes assisted Meltdown in setting up a new lab on an island, where Meltdown planned to experiment on Sari Sumdac. Rhodes was assigned to guard Sari but she escaped when she got his injectors wet, preventing him from embiggening himself and locked him in the bathroom. When Meltdown was defeated by the Dinobots, Rhodes was arrested by Captain Fanzone alone with his boss.

Powers and abilities
Originally, Cyrus was an ordinary human being of diminutive stature with no special inherent traits. This was until he was taken by Prometheus Black who began to experiment on him. These led to the latest feats in biotechnology being applied onto Cyrus. Steroid injectors were fitted on his shoulder blades that pumped fluids that increased Cyrus's height and muscle mass to superhuman levels. This gave him incredible strength and musculature to the point that he could match size or was bigger than some Cybertronians.
