Biography

Rebecca Ryker

Rebecca would be seen again at the helicarrier she had downed back in her Young Masters days. Sometime afterwards, she came to operate on her own where she claimed to had salvaged a number of Life Model Decoys that she fashioned after famous people that she pretended her family. Among these various influential individuals included copies of her father, Dum Dum Dugan and Natasha Romanova as well as several teenagers that kept her company. The last Norn Witch led Balder to her during the War of the Realms which had come to Earth. He had come to seek out warriors who would aid in protecting his newest baby sister, Laussa Odinsdottir, from the forces of Sindr backed by Malekith's invading armies, who were sweeping across Midgard. Overview

Personality and attributes

Powers and abilities

Harlan Ryker utilized cutting-edge technology that even S.H.I.E.L.D.'s expert describes as 'next level'. (Avengers Arena v1 #2) Her Deathlok cybernetics use nanite antibodies to turn any prosthetic limbs designed by SHIELD into weapons, each version more powerful than the previous. (Avengers Undercover v1 #1)

Death Locket's left arm was replaced with an adaptable weaponized replacement which was capable of performing multiple transformations. (Avengers Arena v1 #2) She was able to transform her left arm into a powerful ray-gun. (Avengers Arena v1 #5) It could transform into a cannon that emits concussive blasts of unknown energy or turn it into a spiked mace. (Avengers Arena v1 #6) She was able to hyperextend her limb over great distances to broaden her reach as well. (War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery v1 #2)

In one case, she was able to shut down Arcade's complex computer systems. (Avengers Arena v1 #18) At first, she was seen struggling to use her cybernetic uplink to take control of the computer systems in Arcade's mansion. (Avengers Undercover v1 #3) After several months, she had gotten better with her uplink and was able to take over a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and pilot it single-handed. (Avengers Undercover v1 #9) In another case, she was able to hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s worldwide communication network in a matter of minutes. (Avengers Undercover v1 #10)

Death Locket has grown more proficient in the use of her abilities, able to project holographic images from her right index fingertip as well as remotely sync up with wireless systems in order to control web connected technologies. (War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery v1 #4)

The nanite technology appears capable of responding to perceived threats or increases in stress. When Hazmat made an aggressive stance against Death Locket, her robotic arm automatically transformed and shot at Hazmat. (Avengers Arena v1 #2) Later, Death Locket became extremely agitated with a S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist causing her arm to weaponize and blast an energy discharge, though she was able to move her aim. (Avengers Undercover v1 #1)

While she gained some combat experience fighting alongside the Young Masters, she was still inept at combat, and was easily bested by Hazmat. (Avengers Undercover v1 #8)

Death Locket was vulnerable to control by Apex's technopathy, and also may generally lack control over her abilities. (Avengers Arena v1 #6)
