Biography

Al'Diabalos was a Demon from the Burning Hells that was the youngest of the Prime Evils that were spawned from one of the seven heads of Tathamet. After his creation, he took part in the Eternal Conflict that was waged against the Angels of the High Heavens.

For decades, he and his brothers sowed chaos in the East until they were hunted down by the order of the Horadrim. They came to use relics called Soulstones to contain the Prime Evils where they succeeded in capturing Mephisto and Baal. Diablo though managed to escape to the West but he was eventually hunted down and captured by the Horadrim who similarly placed him in a Soulstone that was buried in an ancient forgotten Cathedral.

With Azmodan defeated, Adria decided to act and took the Black Soulstone where she enacted the ritual on her own daughter Leah thus turning her into a vessel for the girl's true father that was Diablo himself. After possessing the child, Diablo came to be empowered by all the Lords of Hell and was now the Prime Evil. He then had Adria depart via a portal whilst he himself decided to assault the High Heavens itself. Upon arriving there, he was confronted by Imperius who used his angelic light to destroy Leah's corporeal form and thus reveal Diablo's true nature. The two ancient enemies then battled one another but the Archangel was unable to match the Prime Evil who badly wounded Imperius. Diablo then let loose his might that shattered the Diamond Gates of the High Heavens and allowing his corruption to infect the angelic realms.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In the ancient tongue, it was said that his name was Al'Diabolos. Among the Lords of Hell, he was known as the Lord of Terror.

Though the youngest of the Prime Evils, he was considered by some to be the most dangerous and that his power over terror meant that he was incapable of feeling fear.

It was said that Diablo always found a way return and that mortals knew this in their heart of hearts.

Powers and abilities

It was said that he was capable of easily possessing and corrupting humans.

After acquiring the Black Soulstone, he came to absorb the captive essences of the other Prime Evils and took their collective power into himself.

The servants of Diablo were formidable adversaries who used illusion and fear as their greatest weapons. They tended to wait for their foe to display a moment of weakness before initiating their attack. Diablo's attendants were the fears of man made flesh by their master's will who equally struck their enemies both from the dark or within their dreams.

Within Hell, he commanded one of the seven realms in the landscape with his personal one being the Realm of Terror.
