Biography

Al'Diabalos was a Demon from the Burning Hells that was the youngest of the Prime Evils that were spawned from one of the seven heads of Tathamet. After his creation, he took part in the Eternal Conflict that was waged against the Angels of the High Heavens.

For decades, he and his brothers sowed chaos in the East until they were hunted down by the order of the Horadrim. They came to use relics called Soulstones to contain the Prime Evils where they succeeded in capturing Mephisto and Baal. Diablo though managed to escape to the West but he was eventually hunted down and captured by the Horadrim who similarly placed him in a Soulstone that was buried in an ancient forgotten Cathedral.

With Azmodan defeated, Adria decided to act and took the Black Soulstone where she enacted the ritual on her own daughter Leah thus turning her into a vessel for the girl's true father that was Diablo himself. After possessing the child, Diablo came to be empowered by all the Lords of Hell and was now the Prime Evil. He then had Adria depart via a portal whilst he himself decided to assault the High Heavens itself. Upon arriving there, he was confronted by Imperius who used his angelic light to destroy Leah's corporeal form and thus reveal Diablo's true nature. The two ancient enemies then battled one another but the Archangel was unable to match the Prime Evil who badly wounded Imperius. Diablo then let loose his might that shattered the Diamond Gates of the High Heavens and allowing his corruption to infect the angelic realms.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Diablo was a massive, terrifying male entity who functioned as the sovereign Lord of Terror within the Burning Hells. He possessed a towering physical height that vastly exceeded that of an ordinary adult human, paired with an exceptionally broad, muscular, and heavily armored skeletal body build. His entire physical frame was covered in thick, crimson-red reptilian scales and jagged, bone-like ridges that protruded aggressively from his shoulders, elbows, and spine. His hairless, monstrous head featured a wide, fanged mouth and two massive, curved black horns that swept backward and upward from his temples, framing a face dominated by glowing, pupilless yellow eyes that radiated a constant, unnatural heat. Diablo did not wear conventional woven human garments or manufactured armor plates; instead, his primary defenses were completely integrated into his own physiology, showcasing a thick, spiked hide and a long, muscular tail that whipped behind his digitigrade legs, which terminated in massive, razor-sharp black talons capable of shredding solid stone. In the ancient tongue, it was said that his name was Al'Diabolos. Among the Lords of Hell, he was known as the Lord of Terror.

Though the youngest of the Prime Evils, he was considered by some to be the most dangerous and that his power over terror meant that he was incapable of feeling fear.

It was said that Diablo always found a way return and that mortals knew this in their heart of hearts.

Powers and abilities

Diablo was born a natural member of the demonic species known as the Prime Evils, originating directly from one of the seven severed heads of the primordial dragon Tathamet. On a basic feats level, this unique extra-dimensional physiology granted him absolute mastery over hellfire manipulation, psychological terror projection, and the corruption of mortal souls. He possessed the exceptional innate capability to manifest the deepest phobias and anxieties of his opponents, weaponizing their own subconscious guilt to paralyze their movements or drive them into permanent insanity through mere proximity. Diablo could effortlessly conjure and manipulate massive waves of apocalyptic flame, project devastating bursts of lightning, and alter his localized size or physical strength by drawing upon the fear of those around him. He held no biological vulnerabilities to conventional human diseases, toxins, starvation, or aging, rendering him completely immortal against the passage of time. Despite these immense reality-bending and destructive capabilities, Diablo was bound by a strict, absolute physiological framework native to his extra-dimensional rank: his autonomous consciousness within the mortal plane was entirely dependent on a physical anchor known as a Soulstone, meaning that if his physical host body was destroyed and the gem was extracted, his essence could be temporarily suppressed or forcibly pulled back into a dormant state within the artifact until a new living vessel was breached. It was said that he was capable of easily possessing and corrupting humans.

After acquiring the Black Soulstone, he came to absorb the captive essences of the other Prime Evils and took their collective power into himself.

The servants of Diablo were formidable adversaries who used illusion and fear as their greatest weapons. They tended to wait for their foe to display a moment of weakness before initiating their attack. Diablo's attendants were the fears of man made flesh by their master's will who equally struck their enemies both from the dark or within their dreams.

Within Hell, he commanded one of the seven realms in the landscape with his personal one being the Realm of Terror.
