Dr. Lanyon
From Multiversal Omnipedia
Dr. Lanyon was a mutual friend of Charles Marlowe and Frederick Utterson, who frequented the same gentleman's club as them. He considered Marlowe's theories about the duality of the human mind to be bizarre if not outright laughable. However he got a taste of them when he encountered Edward Blake sometime later. Blake, little more than a deformed version of Dr. Marlowe, viciously attacked and injured Lanyon however he survived and was tended to by Utterson who found him in a state of shock.
