History

The Dumahim were one of the most common vampire clans and were descended from Dumah. This clan made their home in the eternal forges where they crafted a reputation as fine blacksmiths and became the backbone of the vampire legions by being professional soldiers. After Kain's absence, Dumah refused to accept Turel's claim to the throne during the meeting at the Council of the Clans. The Dumahim would join in the extermination of Razileim and were in eager in claiming their lands as well as resource. However, the Turelim moved in to take control of the divisions of the spoilt leading to Dumam changing Turel directly. This was both an opportunity to fulfil his ambitions and prove that his clan were the superior warrior. As a result, the Reavers of Dumahim attacked the Tyrants of Turelim with hostilities breaking out between the two clans at the command of their Lieutenant-patriarchs. It was only the Human insurrection that brought an end to hostilities when news of the attacks came from the Razielim. Dumah would forge a truce among the warring clans to help end mankind's rebellion.

They were spread across the lands of Nosgoth; which differed to their cousin clans that remained in their territory. Many had overrun the former stronghold of Raziel. Fledglings of the race appeared to have greenish skin on their faces as well as limbs while adults were more bluish in color. Their evolution resulted in them becoming heavily armoured and possessed the ability to fire a long lashing tongue at their enemies. The reason for the nomadic existence of the Dumahim was due to the arrogance of their leader who failed the acknowledge the threat posed by the Humans. The price of their complacency resulted in them being attacked by Human Vampire Hunters whose surprise attack killed many of the Dumahim and permanently incapacitated Dumah himself. The loss of their leader resulted in the Dumahim spreading across the landscape, adopting a scavenger existence in order to survive.

Overview

Dumahim Reavers.

During the war for Nosgoth, this vampire clan made use of a special class of soldier that were known as Reavers. These swift smart and silent vampires were natural hunters that out-thought as well as out-ran their prey. Similar to the Turelim, they trained by releasing Humans into underground mazes where they hunted them down. These warriors, however, did not hold any notion of honor or glory like some of their brethren but instead had a reputation for playing with their food. This stemmed from their reputation for prolonging hunts in order to heighten the fear felt by their prey which would sweeten the blood. Reavers were professional soldiers of the vampire legions who shared their skills and tactics with one another with many humans falling before their ambushes. Their clan were noted blacksmiths that specialized in the crafting of the best armor in all of Nosgoth.

As a group, their clan was noted for being confident to the point of arrogance. They treat the Turelim's claim of being the premier warriors with amused contempt but were content with letting them going into the fray of battle to absorb damage from the enemy. Dumahim Reavers favored precise and dexterous attacks which was why they viewed the Tyrants of Turelim as brutes that were able to accomplish heavy handed carnage. Typically, they were able to overwhelm most enemies in a fight but Reavers excelled in ambushes as well as hit-and-run attacks.

After the war against mankind, the Dumahim seemingly devolved further into much more monstrous beings. They were armored figures that had sharp pointy hard tongues that were often used in combat by fledgelings. This was used as an extension of their melee combat skill allowing them to reach further than hand-to-hand. Their tongues were also used during the feeding process by the fledgelings though was rarely shown among the adults. In close quarters, these vampires tended to be fast and brutal though were predictable in their maneuvers with their onslaughts avoidable. Dumahim were not too strong and easily stunned but often surrounded prey making them dangerous in numbers especially as they utilized ambush style tactics.
