Corporal Dusty Miller was an American explosives expert from California. He served as a soldier in World War II, originally with the RAF before being transferred to the Long Range Desert Group. He was recruited by Captain James Jensen to serve the role of saboteur in Lieutenant Andrew Stevens' group, with his primary objective being to blow up the German guns located on Navarone. When Stevens was injured, forcing Keith Mallory to take command, Miller often clashed with him, but did his job in the end. He killed the Greek traitor Panayis, and ultimately planted the bombs which destroyed the guns, allowing the stranded British sailors to be rescued. He, Mallory and the rest of their surviving team were then picked up by the Royal Navy ship the Sirdar.
