Biography

Morpheus D. Duvall (Japanese: モーフィアス・D・デュバル, Hepburn: Mōfiasu Dī Dyubaru?)

was once a top level executive for the Umbrella Corporation. He was in charge their primary waste disposal facility on an unnamed island somewhere in the Atlantic. He was the mastermind behind the company's plan to steal the G-Virus from Dr. William Birkin, and was held responsible by Umbrella for the outbreak in Raccoon City after the assassins botched their mission. As a result, he was fired. Believing that he was unfairly terminated, Morpheus plotted revenge against Umbrella.

Umbrella's attempts to ruin Duvall's career failed, and their charisma allowed them to form a fanatical group of ex-Umbrella employees loyal only to them. Umbrella HQ was aware of these developments, and planted P.T. within their ranks to report back. The organisation held three core principles: Africa was the symbol of power on the earth, the Bio-Sphere was the symbol of worldly knowledge, and Duvall was the symbol of beauty. In their interpretation of the principles, the group intended to take over the Bio-Sphere and use its secrets to finance the formation of an African colony built on eugenics principles, to be led by Duvall and populated by only the most beautiful people. Duvall's obsession with beauty only increased as time went by, as noted by P.T., and in early 2002 Duvall underwent cosmetic surgery to better resemble their ideal self.

In addition to being vengeful, Morpheus was also completely insane. After destroying Umbrella, he planned to launch missiles from his hidden base beneath the ocean.

The missiles, loaded with samples of the T-Virus that Morpheus had stolen from Umbrella's Paris headquarters, were intended to strike major cities around the world. His motive was that he wanted to remake the world as he saw fit, getting rid of everything "ugly" and replacing it with "beauty." Morpheus and a small band of his loyal followers hijacked the Umbrella-owned cruise liner known as the Spencer Rain, and unleashed the T-Virus aboard. Unfortunately for Morpheus' associates, he deemed them expendable and they too were infected with the virus. Afterwards, Bruce McGivern boarded the Spencer Rain to stop him. Morpheus almost killed Bruce, but was stopped by Fong Ling and severely injured by a grenade she threw.

The dying Morpheus attempted to kill Bruce and Ling by unleashing a pair of new, improved Hunter variants, known as the Hunter Elites, but this attempt failed when Bruce managed to slay the beasts. In a last-ditch effort, Morpheus injected himself with a unique combination of the G-Virus and the T-Virus, the TG-Virus, transforming into the T-092 Tyrant. And since the T-092 was female, Morpheus' gender was instantly changed. He was now a she, something the beauty-obsessed Morpheus was fine with.

When the Spencer Rain reached the island (crashing into its rocky shore in the process), Morpheus immediately proceeded down to her underwater base just offshore of the isle. She set the missile launch sequence into motion, then kidnapped Fong Ling. Taunting Bruce over the closed-circuit TV system, she lured him to the missile silo's power core, intending to kill him. Unfortunately for her, Bruce had a weapon capable of harming the supposedly invincible Tyrant 092: the Charged Particle Rifle. Morpheus was defeated easily by Bruce using this weapon.

But Morpheus was hardly through. The G-Virus in her blood allowed her to recover from this near-death experience and, like a G-Type, she was given an instant evolutionary boost, although, much to her despair, her new form, that of a monstrous, blob-like entity was hardly beautiful. Enraged, she attempted to chase Bruce down and kill him, but the young American agent was able to successfully destroy Morpheus once and for all.

Overview

Personality and attributes

He had a dream of creating a perfect beautiful world, doing this, of course, means destroying the existing world.

Seeing himself as the portrait of beauty he's undergone plastic surgery to maintain his youthful looks. H

Powers and abilities

Morpheus' mutant form closely resembled that of a Tyrant: pale skin, exposed musculature in certain areas, and a large claw on one arm. Two things set Morpheus apart from the Tyrants; the first was that he maintained his mental faculties after his transformation, and the second is the distinctly-feminine quality of his mutant form, likely the virus responding to his narcissistic personality. Morpheus' mutant form is slender and curvaceous, with smooth skin, long extensions of flesh resembling hair hanging from the scalp and flesh alteration on his legs to appear as if he was wearing boots with high heels. In his mutated form, Morpheus is able to self-generate an external bio-electric field given by the T+G virus. Even though he's not a Tyrant, his right arm mutated into a claw resembling that of the T-001's. His attacks include jolting out bolts of electricity, rising to the air and creating an electrical field, jumping from long distances and then spiraling in mid-air, and continuously dashing at inhuman speed. However after taking too much damage, the G Virus will take over this new elegant form and abilities. Being left collapsed on the floor and lying on his back, the G virus will however start the intense regeneration process by bursting through Duvall's stomach, exposing his rib cages making him spider-crawl. As he pursue Bruce, his body turns into a large green blob body with uneven arms, the left one swollen and the right one clawed. His head loses his hair like flesh extensions but becomes bloodied and can be retracted into the blob torso and appear in other holes dispatched on said torso.

Duvall used to be a member of the Umbrella Corporation where he was senior researcher in the Research & Development Division. He came to be fired from the company after being held responsible for negligence over the release of the T-Virus.
