Biography
Elena Aoki (Japanese: 青木 江麗奈, Hepburn: Aoki Erena) was a female human who lived in Japan during the modern age where she had a younger sister named Clair Aoki.
At the Yamada Cram School, she came to be friends with Shuichi Kagaya, Honoka, Kaito, Naoto and Aiko. The six of them regularly attended the school where they often played games with one another. As they grew up, she and Shuichi became romantically involved with the two being a couple. At their school, Elena was the only on to approach a new transfer named Sayaka Koyanagi where her friendly manner led to the new student opening herself to speaking to others.
Around this time, Honoka came to encounter a being known as the Alien who was the survivor of a crashed extraterrestrial spaceship. The being's crewmates were all stored in the form of coins that were scattered around the region with him looking to acquire them. Honoka had managed to find the first such coin and suggested that maybe the Alien should recruit other humans to help them and give a reward for the return of the coins. The Alien came to ask what her wish was with Honoka asking to turn into her friend Aiko who had secretly committed suicide. Thus, she took her friends life as she believed everyone loved her whilst no one would remember Honoka. All her friends except Kaito were aware of this fact but kept it a close secret with 'Aiko' continuing her relationship with Naoto. However, her different mannerisms was picked up by Kaito who after learning of the Alien determined that she was actually Honoka. Kaito confronted the group about the matter but they simply wanted to bury the matter for the sake of the group with Elena telling Shuichi that this was the correct course of action. Afterwards, Kaito came to believe that Honoka had murdered their friend Aiko and taken over her life. He even managed to find Aiko's body at the grounds of the cram school where he decided to kill Honoka for her crime. It was only then that he learnt the truth that Aiko had committed suicide and Honoka had taken her identity. In the aftermath, he approached the Alien with a number of coins where he wished for no one to forget Honoka which created a powerful monster who appeared before people to ask them her name. Those that failed the question disintegrated into nothing with the monster Honoka appearing to random people before approaching her friends. This led to Elena using the coins to turn herself and Shuichi into monsters to escape Honoka's wrath as she only targeted humans with memory of her. This led to Honoka coming to Shuichi's house where she killed his parents and in a desperate move to save him Elena came to remove all memory of Kayaga's life with her.
Elena alongside Naoto had formed a group of coin collectors where they resolved to find 100 coins to be granted a powerful wish by the Alien in order to end the nightmare caused by Kaito. After becoming a monster, she was seemingly responsible for killing her parents which she claimed was due to the hypocritical manner they lived their lives.
To cover up her deeds, she made it look like her parents died as a result of poison gas. It was the reason why nobody believed Clair's pleas that her sister committed the crime.
She returned to the town in order to rendezvous with her coin collector group when a gun shot missed her heat. Elena then turned to her monster form and looked to kill the attacker only to find the mascot monster form of Shuichi. Aoki then returned to her human guise where she apologised for her actions and asked to speak with Shuichi privately. During their talk, she appeared as being shy and apologetic over her past actions with her stating that she understood his desire to kill her. It was then that she heard a female human voice emerge from Shuichi's body with this leading her to conclude that someone else was inside of him. This resulted in her falling into a deep rage as the thought of another girl inside of Shuichi as she deemed that place had been reserved for herself. Turning to her monster form, she appeared behind Shuichi's mascot body and ripped the head off only to find that her sister Clare Aoki was in the suit. At that moment, Elena transformed and they froze in fear, but Elena quickly started to apologize to Shuichi. They went somewhere more private and Elena wondered if Shuichi learned about her from the Alien and that she knows why he is there to kill her, as she was the one that turned him into a monster. Shuichi having no memories of this or Elena didn't understand what she was saying. But Clair then spoke from inside Shuichi and upon hearing her voice, Elena transformed and lost herself in angry ripping Shuichi's head to see who was inside. The moment she did it, she realized what she had done and started apologizing. Seeing her sister inside, she wondered why she was there and after Clair asked about their parents, Elena explained that their father was a corrupt politician and their mother had young lover and that as Clair had said she wanted to kill them, Elena just did it for her, as she was no longer weak and needing protection. She gave Clair another coin, telling her to use it wisely and then received a phone call and left.

Personality and attributes
Elena was shown as being emotionally unstable and psychotic where it was said that she had committed a staggering number of murders.
Her parents were note for being strict people and raised their children to live to their highest standard. However, she came to find that they were nothing more than hypocrites. In fact, her mother was having an affair with a younger co-worker and her father was a corrupt politician who exploited his position's power.
Though disdaining her parents, she did love her sister Claire dearly where her sibling was the only person she was unwilling to harm. Elena claimed that she killed their parents in order to protect Clair from them.
She was the only person that Subaru respected and obeyed where even his attempts at rebellion leading to him following her orders. Elena in the meantime worried for him at times even though he was a powerful collector though she still saw him as a child.
Elena was deeply in love with Shuichi Kagaya and wanted him to love her in turn. When around him, she was seemingly shy and timid with her being at times embarrassed at her reactions to him. It was shown that she had a selfish and murderous attachment to him. She was responsible for giving him the medicine that turned him into a mascot-like suit monster. According to her, the space inside of him was meant for her and she hated the idea of anyone else being inside. In fact, in one case she came to hear a girl's voice she fell into such a rage that she intended to kill the person inside. She also saw it as being acceptable for Shuichi Kagaya would want to kill her since she was the one responsible for dragging him into it because she was weak.
Powers and abilities
Originally, Elena was an ordinary human teenager but this changed when she encountered the Alien and was rewarded for returning a coin to him. Through his advanced science, she was turned into a large shadowy ghost-like monster with red eyes and a skeletal mouth. In this form, she could disassemble her body into shadows and re-manifest herself at another location. This allowed her to outmanoeuvre her foes where she could disappear from in front of them and emerge behind her target. In addition to her teleportation, she also was shown to possess incredible levels of strength. Such was her sheer strength that she could pull the head of a person without much effort.
She was shown to be capable of manipulating the memories of other people in her monster form. This allowed her to remove certain memories from a person's mind such as recollections of herself.
