Biography
The First Born was a male god who was born the son of the Earth deity Zeus and his wife Hera where he was their first child. At the time, a witch told Zeus that a prophecy that said the child would rule Olympus alone. Zeus of the Olympian gods out of jealousy decided to put his son to death and commanded the witch to perform the task. Hera's heart was noted to had been torn at this commandment and though the witch could not disobey her god she felt sympathy for Olympian queen so she instead abandoned the child in the desert. Thus, the fate of the child was to be left to the cruel world where the First Born was found by a pack of hyenas where one intended to eat the boy but a female's maternal instincts caused her to defend the boy. He then taken into the pack and raised as one of their own and taught the need to survive. In this time, he came to prosper where he grew to adulthood and became a strong warrior. Eventually, he grew into a giant man and learned of his heritage. He sired a army of Human-Hyena hybrids to take control of countless civilizations and slew a dragon to gain special armor. He eventually tried to take over Olympus only for Poseidon to wipe out his army with a tidal wave and Zeus to bury him beneath the Earth. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2)
In the belly of Poseidon, the First Born and Cassandra were forced to make a deal with the sea god in his true home. Poseidon would return First Born's weapon and allow him to overtake Mount Olympus in exchange for leaving the sea and Hell to its current rulers. Naturally, the First Born refused at first, but was forced to agree when it became clear that if he did kill Poseidon, he would be forever trapped within the god's corpse. The pact sealed in blood, Poseidon acknowledged that the throne of Olympus could not be won without the last born, Zeus's final and true heir, guarded by the last Amazon who Poseidon knew to be Wonder Woman. (Wonder Woman v4 #19) Going to London with Cassandra in search of Zeke, the First Born was met by Lennox, Zola, and his mother, Hera, and engaged Lennox in combat.[11] Soon after, when Wonder Woman entered the fray, Orion followed by Boom Tube, and brought all present to New Genesis. However, Lennox was forced to stay behind in order to do so, so as to allow a Boom Tube that the First Born was holding open to close. (Wonder Woman v4 #21) Ultimately, the First Born managed to destroy Lennox, taking up residence on the throne in Westminster Abbey after having sent the city of London into burning chaos before Orion, Zola, Zeke, and Wonder Woman had managed to return, even gaining the aid of War. (Wonder Woman v4 #22) In the battle, the First Born attempted to kill War, but Wonder Woman impaled Ares to harm the First Born instead, robbing him of the chance to take up the mantle of god of war before he was knocked unconscious by Zola from behind. (Wonder Woman v4 #23)
Overview
Personality and attributes
He came to be known as the One With No Name and as the Crippler of Souls. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2)
Due to his childhood, he came to learn hate and surrounded himself with dead bodies. His black heart sought him to wage a war against life and a need to destroy its champions. None of this made him content and he felt nothing but contempt for the world. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2)
The First Born was the unnamed child of Zeus and Hera of the Olympian Gods. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2) He was regarded as a monster by his uncle Poseidon. (Wonder Woman v4 #17)
Though born of Olympus, the First Born was raised by a pack of hyenas instead after he was abandoned in the desert as a newborn. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2)
Within the wilds, it was known that he had mated with hyenas who bore him many offspring. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2)
Powers and abilities
As a child of Zeus, he was noted for being a god. (Wonder Woman v4 #17)
By mating with hyenas, he came to be the father of many humanoid hyenas who served as his army. (Wonder Woman v4 #23.2)
