Fordham, Billy

Billy Fordham was an old friend of Buffy Summers who learned he was dying of a brain tumor. Desperate to live and fixated on pop-culture images of vampires, Fordham joined a group of like-minded teens who idolized those creatures. He made a deal with the vampire Spike- in exchange for sending his former friend Buffy into a trap, Spike would make him a vampire. Billy tried to fulfill his promise, and did lure Buffy into a trap. However, she was able to escape. Despite this failure, Spike did turn him into a vampire- forcing Buffy to stake her childhood friend.
