Guy Desjardins

In an alternate timeline, Guy Desjardins was a decorated Canadian ex-Marine and former Mounted Police officer who was the second choice for the Weapon X project. After Logan escaped capture, Desjardins was drafted into the project, modified in various ways including the bonding of adamantium to his skeleton. As a side effect, he also developed claw-like extensions of adamantium from just above his knuckles. Unfortunately, he was left in constant pain, and went insane.

Since Desjardins' damaged psyche made him a raging berserker when he wasn't asleep, Desjardins was useless as an operative, and was given to James Hudson. Desjardins managed to break free, and began rampaging through every town in his path, killing many innocents and an inexperienced Alpha Flight when the team tried to stop him. Logan, seeking to avenge his friends' deaths in one town hit by Desjardins, sought out information on the Weapon X project and faced "Weapon X" himself. After a fearsome battle, Logan was able to behead Desjardins (despite his adamantium spine) and revealed the truth about "Weapon X" to the public.
