- The High Republic Era was created by Charles Soule, Cavan Scott, Claudia Gray, Justina Ireland, and Daniel José Older alongside Iain McCaig and Phil Noto where it made its first appearance in Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi (January, 2021).

- In Star Wars Legends, this era was instead referred to as the Golden Age of the Old Republic in the former Star Wars Expanded Universe.
