History

The Imperial Knights were an order of Force-users that were created by the successor of the Galactic Empire in the century following the Battle of Endor. They were created as a detail that were completely loyal to the Emperor so long as he served the will of the Force.

Overview

In appearance,

They were fully trained Jedi though their loyalty was not to the Jedi Order or the Force but to the Empire as personified by the Emperor. These Imperial Jedi were seen as a kind of Gray Jedi who whilst they did not follow the Dark Side of the Force it was said that they did not truly follow the way of the Force either. (Star Wars: Legacy v1 #0) Their numbers were small but this was offset by the fact that they were fully trained Force-users with all the skills and abilities of a Jedi. (Star Wars: Legacy v1 #0.5)

A certain degree of friction existed between the Imperial Knights and the Jedi Order though they had a common enemy in the Sith. (Star Wars: Legacy v1 #0.5)

Their lightsabers were a symbol of their unity of how the individual self was less than the Empire they served. All Imperial Knights used lightsabers of the same design. (Star Wars: Legacy v1 #0)
