History

The Indoraptor was a genetically engineered dinosaur hybrid species that was created by the continued research of Dr. Henry Wu. Its creation was based on the experiments that were made which produced larger Indominus rex. The creation of the Indoraptor was a secretive and unethical endeavor spearheaded by the geneticist Dr. Henry Wu and bankrolled by Eli Mills following the 2015 collapse of Jurassic World. The process began in earnest in June 2016 when a team of mercenaries was dispatched to the abandoned Isla Nublar to retrieve a bone fragment from the remains of the Indominus rex at the bottom of the park’s lagoon. Once this genetic material was secured, Wu retreated to a high-tech, hidden laboratory in the basement of Lockwood Manor in California to begin engineering the new species. The geneticists crafted the Indoraptor by augmenting the complex Indominus rex genome with additional Velociraptor DNA to create an animal that was smaller, faster, and more manageable for military applications. Throughout its development, the creature was surgically and genetically modified to respond to specific auditory and visual stimuli, such as a high-frequency sound to trigger a predatory state and a laser pointer to designate a target. Despite these advancements, the individual seen in 2018 was considered a prototype because it lacked the social obedience Wu desired. To finalize the design, Wu intended to use the blood of the raptor Blue to instill a capacity for empathy and social imprinting, though the prototype was killed before this "perfected" version could be bred.

Overview

In appearance, the Indoraptor was a lean and lethal hybrid that stood approximately 10 feet tall and reached a length of 24 feet, making it roughly three-fourths the size of its predecessor, the Indominus rex. Its sleek, muscular body was covered in jet-black scales that allowed it to blend into the shadows, accented by a distinct golden-yellow streak that ran from the base of its neck to the tip of its tail—a visual echo of the raptor Blue's blue marking. The creature's head bore a resemblance to that of a Tyrannosaurus rex, though it was narrower and featured two small crests above its orange-red eyes, which were often surrounded by a mottled red pattern near the orbits. Its mouth was filled with ragged, widely spaced teeth, and the skin around its jaws appeared sickly and flaky, highlighting its status as an unfinished prototype. A series of keratinous quills adorned the back of its head and neck, capable of rising or lowering to express its aggressive emotional state. Most notably, the Indoraptor possessed long, powerful forelimbs with four-fingered hands and opposable thumbs, ending in dagger-like claws that enabled it to climb and manipulate objects with eerie precision. Its hind legs featured the signature sickle-shaped toe claws of a Velociraptor, and its unique anatomy allowed it to switch seamlessly between a bipedal stance and a low, quadrupedal gallop.

It was said that the creature was bred to be a predator and designed for killing its prey.
