Biography

Inez Temple in Agent X v1 #2.

Inez Temple

Embracing her heritage as she reached adulthood, she assumed the mercenary codename of Outlaw and established herself within the elite contract-killer industry. While visiting a local establishment called the Killer Juice bar inside the Merc Works gym, she crossed paths and flirted with the mercenary Deadpool, who had recently risen to major industry prominence after eliminating the leadership of the Four Winds syndicate. She was at the 'Killer Juice' bar in Merc Works gym for mercenaries where Outlaw flirted with Deadpool after he had become famous for killing the heads of the Four Winds. (Deadpool v1 #65)

Whilst in Texas, she was hired by a client to serve as a bodyguard to protect him against Domino. She arrived alongside Diamondback with the pair looking for a new recruit to join their team known as the Posse. Initially, they ended up in a fight with Outlaw as she felt insulted by Domino until Neena revealed that Temple's employer was Professor Salvage who despised Mutants. This led to Inez joining the Posse where she became close friends with Neena and Rachel. (Domino Annual v1 #1)

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Inez Temple was a tall, exceptionally voluptuous, and statuesque human female with a highly conditioned, athletic physical build. She stood at an impressive five feet eleven inches tall and possessed distinct facial features complemented by striking light-coloured eyes. While her natural hair was short and dark brown, her signature look was characterized by a long, vibrant blonde wig that she wore styled into a single, extended braid. When operating as a mercenary, her physical appearance was defined by a stylized, modern Western cowgirl uniform designed to emphasize her larger-than-life Texas heritage. This professional tactical outfit featured a prominent, wide-brimmed Stetson cowboy hat worn over her blonde braid, paired with a form-fitting top, rugged pants, and heavy leather riding boots equipped for combat environments. (Deadpool v1 #65)

She was noted for being a descendant of the Outlaw Kid. (Domino Annual v1 #1)

Powers and abilities

Inez Temple possessed an array of superhuman physical attributes and combat traits derived from her unique mutant physiology and extensive mercenary training. She exhibited immense superhuman strength, providing her with the necessary physical power to effortlessly punch through solid brick walls, snap human bones, and lift up to two tons at her absolute peak. Her dense bodily tissues offered advanced durability, enabling her to withstand high-caliber bullets from a moderate distance while sustaining nothing more than superficial skin bruises. She was a master sharpshooter and martial artist, demonstrating the tactical composure and split-second reflexes required to dual-wield heavy Colt .44 revolvers with flawless accuracy during chaotic firefights. Additionally, she was a champion lariat thrower and possessed an accelerated cellular healing factor, allowing her body to completely recover from minor physical injuries and muscle fatigue within a matter of hours. (Deadpool v1 #65)

O*N*E came to classify her as a General Threat. (X-Men: The 198 Files v1 #1)

Pool cues break upon hitting her body and Diamondback's explosive diamonds could only cause her superficial damage. (Domino Annual v1 #1)

Alternate Versions

  • In Deadpool Max v1 #2 (2010), an alternate version of the Inez Temple Outlaw appeared in the MAX reality designated as Earth-TRN133 in the Multiverse. Outlaw is an insane asylum patient with dissociative multiple personality disorder with whom Deadpool has a brief relationship. She first poses as a psychiatrist to lure Deadpool there and extract his organs for illegal donations at the behest of a hospital doctor, but develops feelings for him and helps him escape. Later on, she reappears as Domino, asking Deadpool to elope with her as she reveals to be pregnant with his baby; however, the pregnancy is soon revealed to be fake and, through the trust of a Deadpool in denial, she assumes an appearance similar to Black Widow under the name 'Honey Moon', in which Deadpool has her committed to the asylum again. She is seen later still as a Mrs. Claus-styled dominatrix called ;Santa Clawz', with delusions of wanting to destroy Christmas by giving guns to children and forcing other inmates to make the weapons; only all they can do is draw guns on papers, and Deadpool and Bob quickly talk her down again.
