Qui-Gon Jinn is a male film character who features in Star Wars.

Biography

Qui-Gon Jinn was a male Force-sensitive human who was born a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. During that time, he came to live in the era of the Galactic Republic where his ability to use the Force saw him being inducted into the ranks of the Jedi Order. In time, he came to be a Jedi Knight and eventually came to be a Jedi Master where he came to take on a Padawan in the form of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

At age 60, Qui-Gon Jinn was sent to negotiate the crisis on Naboo, and wound up becoming involved in the battle to liberate that world. He also recruited Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi, and planned to train the boy himself. Qui-Gon died in battle against Darth Maul as the final battle for Naboo was fought.

He was known to follow his own instincts and ideals rather than simply follow the orders of the Jedi Council.

As noted by him, he believed that the Jedi were keepers of the peace and not warriors.

Qui-Gon Jinn was a noted believer in the prophecy of the Chosen One who was said to be a figure that would bring balance to the Force.

A human Force-sensitive, Qui-Gon Jinn had the ability to the use the energy field known as the Force that allowed him to achieve a variety of feats.
