John Murdoch is a male human character who features in Dark City.

Biography
John Murdoch was a human who was abducted by the Strangers as one of many that were taken for their experiments. All those taken were placed in a deep space habitat surrounded by a force field where internally it was made to resemble a gloomy dark city. The humans inside had their memories altered and prevented from learning the truth that they were not on Earth and any truths they uncovered were then erased to maintain the secrecy of the experiment.

Murdock came to be implanted with the memories and history of a serial killer that accidentally awakened in him the ability of Tuning. This gave him a degree of psychokinetic powers that rivalled those of those the Strangers.

- John Murdoch was created by Alex Proyas where he was portrayed by actor Rufus Sewell and featured in the setting of the Dark City universe.
