Biography
Origin
Johnny Quick was a male human inhabitant from the world of Earth-3 in the Multiverse. At some point, he came to be a super-powered being who had the abilities of a speedster where he became a supervillain who performed crime across the planet. Eventually, he came to join a group of other supervillains where they banded together to form the Crime Syndicate of America. Together, they performed numerous crimes on their Earth and always evaded the attempts by the authorities to arrest them. However, eventually, they came to grow bored by their activities and felt that nothing really challenged them. This changed one day when Ultraman called a meeting of the Syndicate where he revealed that after being empowered by Kryptonite that he gained super-vision strong enough to peer into alternate realities in the Multiverse. As a result, he saw an alternate world known as Earth-1 that was populated by superheroes who fought criminals and supervillains. Its premiere superheroes were the Justice League of America where he proposed that they could find a challenge in battling these super-beings. The Syndicate were excited at this possibility and turned to Owlman in orchestrating a plan against the superheroes of Earth-1. (Justice League of America v1 #29)
Due to the actions of the Anti-Monitor, the cosmic being had created an anti-matter wave that was consuming the Multiverse. This wave consumed most of Earth-3 leaving the planet as the last remaining world in its universe. The cataclysm caused a wave of natural disasters to affect the world with Johnny Quick and the Crime Syndicate attempting to save their home. Despite their efforts, they could not save their world and Johnny Quick was consumed by the anti-matter thus killing him with Earth-3 later being destroyed. (Crisis on Infinite Earths v1 #1)
Post-Crisis
Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
During these early days, the greatest resistance to the Syndicate's rule was the Justice Underground that consisted of superpowered heroes that opposed them. Their number included; Lady Sonar, Star Sapphire, General Grodd, Q-Ranger, Sir Solomon Grundy and their leader Quizmaster. Many of these superheroes fell to the Syndicate which included the likes of Hierarchy for International Virtuous Empowerment, Zazzala the Insect Queen, and even Dr. Eclipso. One of the last holdouts opposing them was the tiny eastern European country of Modora that was protected under an impenetrable barrier created by Lady Sonar who protected her people. The Syndicate broke through it and engaged the populace where Lady Sonar was defeated and placed in the Flying Fortress's cryogenic prison alongside the other heroes. During the incident, Johnny Quick was seemingly killed but had been catapulted into the future where he witnessed the destruction of existence before he returned back to Earth-3 to warn the rest of the Syndicate. Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events. Jonathan Allen was a male human who resided on Earth-3 where he embarked on a life of crime. Johnny came to be involved with Rhonda Pineda where the pair terrorised the Central City of their Earth as they murdered numerous police officers. On one occasion, he was caught and being transported to prison when Rhonda broke him out of prison car. They then captured the two police officers where they murdered them but were forced to go on the run. The two were then trapped on a rooftop with Johnny pushing Rhonda to safety as he was struck by lightning whilst she fell into the laboratory of Ray Palmer. The incident transformed the pair with Johnny gaining the power of superspeed whilst Rhonda had the ability to shrink her size. This saw the two start a life as supervillains with them eventually joining the Crime Syndicate. (Justice League v2 #26)
The Multiverse later came to reform Earth-3 leading to the resurrection of all its inhabitants that included Johnny Quick and the Crime Syndicate. Once reformed, the supervillain team resumed their tyranny over the planet. It was then that they were visited by Lex Luthor who took the Syndicate before his new master who was the dark goddess Perpetua. She had freed herself from the Source Wall and regained the totality of her power allowing her to remake the Multiverse back to her vision. Those Earth's that would not follow her were destroyed with Earth-3 spared as it aligned with her principles. However, she transformed its inhabitants into Apex Predators to serve in her armies with the Syndicate offered the chance to join her forces. Quick feared the threat of Perpetua and wanted to escape with this angering the cosmic being who aged the speedster to dust. (Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen v1 #1)
