Television

  • In He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Kobra Khan appeared in the 1985 animated television series where he was voiced by actor Lou Scheimer. Kobra Khan and his race, the Reptons. It was learnt that the Reptons inhabited a quiet underground kingdom beneath a stone pyramid, and were a peaceful race who regarded Khan as a traitor since he left them to join Skeletor's forces. Khan came to seek the help of He-Man and his companions in relighting the furnace that heats the Reptons' kingdom, which has been extinguished by an unknown intruder. It turned out that it was in fact Khan who extinguished the flame, and the Repton's ruler, King Pythos had offered to grant the crown of the Reptons to whoever can expose the guilty party. Therefore, Khan had concocted an elaborate scheme to frame He-Man for the crime so that he can become ruler of the Reptons upon exposing He-Man as guilty.
  • In He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Kobra Khan appeared in the 2004 animated television series where he was voiced by actor Scott McNeil. This version was said to had been a descendant of the true Snake Men who survived into the modern age Eternia long after King Hiss's defeat. He then worked to free by manipulating Skeletor in order to gain access to Snake Mountain where he succeeded in freeing General Rattlor. This revealed his true intentions thus leading to him being on the run from the Evil Warriors with Kobra Khan and Rattlor later managing to free King Hiss from the Void. Upon the ancient king's freedom, Kobra Khan swore loyalty to King Hiss and joined the Snake Men as they attempted to take over Eternia. While Khan is accepted by the Snake Men in their new conquest of Eternia, he is constantly treated with contempt by the leaders, purely because he was a descendant and not one of their original army, and also because of his smaller size. King Hiss however does seem to take a shine to Khan and seems to be quite impressed by his loyalty.
