Biography

Korath-Thak was a male member of the Blue Kree race who was a subject in their empire on one of its ten thousand worlds. He was a cyber-geneticist in the empire who had a record of achievements and was the chief architect of the Pursuer Project that was the next generation of cyber-genetic engineering. He was dismissed along with others for failing to meet quota requirements with many problems in the program and instead resources were placed in other promising cybertechnic projects that were in development with Korath sent to a backwater factory-world. However, he took with him Pursuer technology and modified the equipment in the factory to accommodate the science. (Quasar v1 #32)

Though the Starforce became subservient to Lilandra, the Kree eventually managed to gain autonomy allowing them to declare their independence from the Shi'ar Imperium. In the aftermath, the Starforce came to be considered unwanted by both sides leading to many of its members going into exile. Korath was among them where he eventually came to settle on the planet of Godthab Omega in order to survive on the outskirts of the Kree empire. (Annihilation: Ronan v1 #1)
