Biography
Robert Long was a super-powerful being from an alternate future, the son of Donna Troy, who was born with even greater powers than his mother. Maturing to adulthood in a few moments, Chaos killed his parents and set off to rule the world. With the aid of a race of aliens, he eventually succeeded, and was only opposed by the Team Titans.
nspired by the legend of the original Titans, a group of dozens of super-powered youths who call themselves the Team Titans travel to the past to kill Donna before her child is born.[3] Many are lost in the time stream, but a small squadron forms and attempts to fulfill their mission. They are led by the illusion-casting Mirage.
Lord Chaos follows the teens to the past[4] and is able to prevent the Team Titans from killing Donna, and her son Robert Long is born. However, the Titans of Myth intervene at Donna's request, and strip the baby and herself of their godlike powers. The Titans of Myth take Lord Chaos with them to make him learn humility.
The powerless incarnation of Robert Long is later killed in a car crash along with his father and half-sister Jennifer.
During the Blackest Night, Donna has a horrific encounter with Robert, revived as an undead infant by the Black Lantern Corps. She is bitten by the being and is later seen suffering from some sort of poisoning from the bite that causes her skin to start showing black tendrils and her pupils to turn black, displaying the insignia of the Black Lantern Corps. However, she is able to resist this long enough to fight the Black Lanterns; and ultimately crushes his skull. Robert is apparently destroyed by a burst of white light emanating from Dawn Granger.
After being defeated in the future, Chaos followed the Titans back to the past, where he tried to ensure his own future- but failed, and was defeated by a combined New Titans-Team Titans effort.

- Lord Chaos was created by Marv Wolfman and Tom Grindberg where they made their first appearance in New Titans Annual v1 #7 (October, 1991).
- The character of Lord Chaos never existed following Zero Hour, as the timeline he came from ceased to exist during the events of that crisis, but he might still exist in Hypertime.
