Malcolm Reed

He contacted his parents to let them know that he was assigned to the NX-class ship Enterprise but had not made contact with them since that time. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

Personality and attributes

Malcolm was noted to had been born on September 2nd though he did not have much expectations for people to celebrate his birthday. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

It was said that Malcolm was not the easiest person to get to know. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

Pineapple was noted for being his favourite food though few were aware of this fact. Generally, it was said that Malcolm was not comfortable making requests and ate whatever was in front of him. Thus, few people were aware of the food he liked to eat with even his parents unaware of his favourite food. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

The Reed family had been navy men for generations with Malcolm's grandfather having been in an ordnance officer in the royal navy. It was expected that he would have joined the same profession but he instead enlisted in Starfleet with this being to the disappointment of his father. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

He had a sister by the name of Madeline. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

Malcolm had an uncle by the name of Archie and two spinster aunts. (ENT: Silent Enemy)

Powers and abilities

He suffered from a number of allergies including dust mites, oak pollen and tropical grasses. Reed was also averse to various plant enzymes including bromelin though he was known to save regular injections to allow his body to tolerate it so that he could eat his favourite food which was pineapple.
