Marhan
Marhan was the shaman of Mayapore village. Although seemingly slow, he was quite intelligent and wily. He met Indiana Jones, Willie Scott and Short Round in 1935 when they floated down river having just escaped from a plane crash. He informed Jones that his arrival was a deliverance from Shiva, and that he had seen the plane crash in a dream.
Along with Mayapore's chieftain, Marhan implored Jones and his companiones to go to Pankot Palace to rescue the village's kidnapped children and recover Sivalinga, one of the five Sankara Stones, which the Thuggee had taken from them. Jones succeeded, and Marhan knew of his success long before he even returned, for once Sivalinga was out of evil hands, life returned to Mayapore. Jones returned the stone to Marhan and the chieftain.
