Maximilian Veers

General Maximilian Veers was the sidekick to Admiral Ozzel. Veers was in command of Blizzard Force, the main ground forces for the Imperial fleet. When Darth Vader learned of the hidden Rebel base on Hoth, he sent Veers to attack them with a squad of AT-AT Walkers. The General supervised the assault from his personal AT-AT, Blizzard 1. It is unknown what happened to General Veers following the battle.
Expanded Universe
General Veers survived the Battle of Hoth, and continued to serve the Empire loyally despite personal shame when his son, Zevulon, defected to the Rebellion.
Novelization
Veers is killed when a Rebel snowspeeder slams into the cockpit of Blizzard 1.
