- Mercy Graves was created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini as an original creation for Superman: The Animated Series that was part of the DC Animated Universe.

- In the DC Animated Universe, Mercy Graves was first created and made a number of appearances in this shared continuity.
- In Superman: The Animated Series, Mercy Graves was created as an original creation of the animated series where she first appeared in the episode "A Little Piece of Home" and was voiced by actress Lisa Edelstein. The episode "Ghost in the Machine" showed that her loyalty came as a result of Lex Luthor finding her homeless and alone on the streets where he hired her to be his chauffeur. As a result, her life was transformed and she was dedicated to him though he did not share any care for her.
- In Smallville, the character did not appear in the setting of the live-action television series. Elements of Mercy Graves were amalgamated into a new character called Tess Mercer who also operated under the code name Mercy.
- In The Batman, Mercy Graves appeared in the setting of the animated television series in the episode "The Batman/Superman Story" where she was voiced by actress Gwendoline Yeo. She was shown to be of Eurasian descent and operated as Lex Luthor's right hand. Mercy was shown to be an excellent marksmen who wielded two hidden pistols. She covered Lex Luthor during the fight with Batman and Robin in Gotham City. Luthor abandoned her and in that moment the two vigilantes captured her.
- In Young Justice, Mercy Graves made a supporting appearance in the animated television series where she was had no voiced lines. She was portrayed as a Caucasian woman with long light brown hair who wears a business suit and a short skirt. In "Targets" she was shown as Lex Luthor's bodyguard who had a cybernetic arm that could open up to reveal built in weaponry. She accompanied her employer during the peace talks between North and South Rheelasia where she thwarted a League of Assassin attempt on Luthor's life. She later blasted Aqualad when he attempts to arrest Luthor, and the two escape by helicopter. She reappears alongside Luthor in "Satisfaction", helping in the escape from vengeful Roy Harper who bombs his office before they find Harper inside a parking garage blowing up Luthor's car. Mercy and Roy engage in a duel across the garage, and he eventually succeeds in blowing off her cybernetic arm and knocking her into a car windshield. Later, Roy shows Green Arrow and his Cadmus clone Red Arrow a cybernetic arm more powerful than Mercy's, and declares Speedy "dead", preferring the sound of "Arsenal".
- In Supergirl, Mercy Graves appeared in the live-action television series set in the Arrowverse's fourth season where she was portrayed by actress Rhona Mitra. This version had a brother named Otis Graves with the pair often working together and being quarrelling siblings. Mercy was said to had once been working for Lex Luthor as his head of security until his criminal activities led to his arrest with her testifying against him. Afterwards, she joined an anti-alien movement where they helped promote attacks against extraterrestrials on behalf of Agent Liberty.

- In Superman: Brainiac Attacks, Mercy Graves appeared in the setting of the animated film where she was voiced by actress Tara Strong. She was seen at Lex Luthor's side, even to the part where Brainiac uses LexCorp technology to build a new body. Mercy discovers Jimmy looking for evidence against Luthor and attacks him. Eventually, Jimmy uses a robot to knock her out, though destroying his camera in the process. While Luthor is recuperating in the hospital being interviewed following Brainiac's attack, he quietly tells Mercy to call all his lawyers when a small Kryptonite shard found by detectives in his facility exposes his involvement with Brainiac's rampage.
- In Superman: Doomsday, Mercy Graves appeared in the setting of the animated film where she was voiced by actress Cree Summer.
- In Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Mercy appeared in the live-action film where she was portrayed by actor Tao Okamoto. She was the assistant of LexCorp CEO Lex Luthor and operated on his behalf. Mercy was present at the first US Capitol hearing, in order to monitor that Lex's covert pawn Kahina Ziri carried out her mission. Mercy later escorted June Finch and Barrows to a meeting with Lex. Upon Lex coming to an agreement with Barrows, she delivered the body of the deceased Kryptonian Dru-Zod to Lex. Mercy was present at the charitable function Lex held at his Metropolis villa. There, she noticed Bruce Wayne sneaking about suspiciously, and decided to follow him. She found him downstairs next to a computer server and inquired as to what he was doing there. Bruce claimed he was looking for the bathroom, which she said was upstairs. Bruce, feigning being drunk, also complimented Mercy on her stylish shoes as she walked off. Mercy later arrived to oversee the arrival of the shipment of Kryptonite that arrived at the LexCorp Research Park. She and Luthor shared a look of collective excitement upon catching their first glimpse of the material in person. Later, Mercy was present at the US Capitol again, with Lex Luthor and Wallace Keefe to attend the Senate committee hearing for Superman. After Lex had a brief talk with June Finch, he instructed Mercy to enter the committee chamber and reserve him a seat. However, Lex never arrived and when a bomb hidden inside Keefe's wheelchair was detonated, Mercy and all others present perish, bar the invulnerable Superman.
