Biography
Morrat was a male Skrull who rose to the position of warlord within the Skrull Empire where he served in the court of Emperor Dorrek VII. (Fantastic Four v1 #37)
While on a hunting expedition with his men and his fiancée the Skrull princess Anelle, Morrat captured the currently-depowered Fantastic Four, intending to kill them and start a revolution against the emperor so he could rule instead. Before the team could be executed, Mister Fantastic manages to reactivate their powers. The emperor then arrives, strips Morrat of his rank, and orders his men to kill him. Anelle jumped in front of him in an attempt to save his life, but the Invisible Woman protected her with a force field and the laser killed Morrat anyway. When Reed revealed that Susan had saved his daughter, the emperor decided to grant them one request. They asked for the life of the one responsible for Franklin Storm's death, and the emperor presented them with Morrat's body, settling their debt and dismissing the earthlings back to the safety of their planet. (Fantastic Four v1 #37)
